What happens at Boca Fiesta stays at Boca Fiesta.

Boca Fiesta will celebrate its seven-year anniversary with a ‘70s Las Vegas themed party this weekend. The annual anniversary celebration will begin Saturday at Boca Fiesta, located at 232 SE First Street, at 8 p.m.

The restaurant originally opened on June 1, 2009, by Warren Oakes and Jake Ihde, said Schylar Davis, Boca Fiesta’s front of house manager.

“We are like a family,” Davis said. “Some of us hate each other some days, but we get our jobs done to the best of our abilities.”

The celebration will feature a DJ, drink specials and performances by local drag queens, with “only a very streamlined taco menu offered so that our crew can take the night off and enjoy the festivities,” she said. There will also be a photo booth at the event.

“People get married on a whim in Vegas,” Davis said. “It will be like a white chapel photo booth.”

The Backyard, Boca Fiesta’s outdoor food and bar section, will be casino themed.

“People can dress like tourists or dress disco or glam,” Davis said. Boca Fiesta is partnering with Persona Vintage Clothing and Costumes to provide 25-percent-off costumes to encourage celebration attendees to wear ‘70s themed costumes.

“You can dress like a Greek goddess, and it will be appropriate,” said Katie Cousins, a server at Boca Fiesta.

Boca Fiesta will have special hours and will not open until 8 p.m. The anniversary celebration has no cover, but attendees must be 21 and over.
