Online voting would solve problems

Double voting has been a concern in Student Government elections for years, and there have always been allegations directed at the Greek houses. If Supervisor of Elections Ariana Alfonso is worried about double voting, she should advocate for a switch to online voting tied to UF IDs. The centralized list of who has voted would prevent any double voting and save the Student Body tens of thousands of dollars each election.

Protesters offended many, even liberals

I am writing in response to Skeet Surrency's letter to the editor, "Protesters' actions were merited." I was there when the protesters began their theatrics. I felt like I was watching a 16-car pileup on the Turnpike. Before the students so courageously began protesting in front of a sympathetic audience, nearly everyone in the room laughed at former U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. He would pay lip service to human rights and the U.S. Constitution, and everyone would be in stitches.

Gonzales not a controversial speaker

Why are we paying ,40,000 to hear Alberto Gonzales speak? Accent claims it is bringing another "controversial speaker" like Janet Reno. Reno was controversial because of policy in the Elian Gonzalez and Waco raids. Alberto Gonzales is controversial because of his alleged illegal actions.
