The incident took place on I-75 just outside of Gainesville

The man’s fiancée had previously been arrested as well
The officer said she was attempting to stop the man from reckless driving
Gas pump keys were also found in his vehicle, police say
He was arrested July 16
No one was injured in the July 21 incident
The man stole a kitchen knife, police said
He worked at UF for over four years
He told police he was drunk and had money problems
