Every morning you wake up, rub sleep out of your eyes and walk over to the bus stop.
When I was a young girl, I remember being taught that "knowledge is power" and that those who do well in school will go far in life. These days, a very different phrase resonates through the halls of academia.
As I enter my sophomore year, I already find myself swamped with homework.
I would like to address two columns that were published Wednesday and Thursday critiquing the Alligator for covering the various events of the Progress Party and Dave Schneider.
I was really glad to see the Ben Meyers column in Wednesday’s paper. I believe it helped remind the student body that despite the Board of Trustees delaying block tuition, it still has an imminent deadline. Logically, this topic should have generated a larger reaction than it has in the past few months. However, when I talk to my friends and fellow students about block tuition, what I find is that they just don’t know all the details regarding it. At the same time, I can’t blame them, as the administration has been equally vague in disclosing various aspects concerning the issue.
Throughout campus the topic of block tuition has been present in various events and recent conversations. However, what has been lacking from these conversations is how block tuition will affect students after college.
