In 2020, UF alumnus Chris Malachowsky donated $25 million to the university, and his technology company Nvidia matched the donation in services. The money led to supercomputer HiPerGator 3.0’s creation in January 2021.
UF Panhellenic and UF Interfraternity Council announced a record-breaking Fall recruitment season on Instagram, with 1,761 and over 1,300 registrations, respectively.
PSU, UF’s largest LGBTQ+ student organization, invited three visual performers, an a cappella opener, a headline music act, seven table showcases and five keynote addresses to the event. Performers Sting Don, Ivy Les Vixen and Marisol Lords flaunted extravagant outfits while lip syncing to popular songs, and the tables and speakers displayed resources for the queer community.
UF Student Government Productions hosted its annual first day of class concert Thursday night at the Stephen O’Connell Center. 24kGoldn headlined the event alongside pop/rock band Hot Chelle Rae.
