'Dil Chahta Hai,' '3 Idiots' resonate with life after college

If you've seen the promos for "Desi Boyz," then you know exactly what to expect: eye candy and comedy with a desi heart. On that and on plot, the face-paced film certainly delivers right up until the climax begins to unravel.
One of the wonderful things about Bollywood actors is that they're — for the most part — incredibly prolific compared to American actors. Even big stars, who get more selective and often slow down after the height of their careers, are quick to put out films by American standards.
Amid a storm of media hype, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan gave birth in a Mumbai suburb Wednesday morning (late Tuesday in the U.S.) to a girl.
Last Tuesday, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan turned 38. Older than the average Bollywood heroine, Rai has managed to prove she's still widely popular and capable of driving plenty of hype.
Despite many negative reviews and generating some controversies, "Ra.One" is doing very well at the box office, breaking Bollywood records according to many. Despite the film's reviews, many agree that — for better or worse — it is breaking new ground.
Entrance and exit ramps at Newberry Road and Interstate 75 will be closed for roadwork alternately overnight through Sunday, according to a UF news release.
"Ra.One" delivers on its promise of awesome visual effects and its heart - or should I say H.A.R.T. — values. In some other aspects, it falls a little short of expectations. "Ra.One" has been the most hyped Bollywood film of the year — maybe of all time. I'm not convinced it could ever have lived up to the hype, but it comes close in probably its highest goals and falls just a little short in others.

If you want a 100-rupees-crore ($20-million-dollar) hit in Bollywood, don't worry about your leading man — just put Kareena Kapoor in your film. And if you're looking to add edge and sizzle, look no further than Katrina Kaif.
