Gambling with imposter syndrome

I’ve been obsessed with words for as long as I can remember. The way they can make you feel, what art you can create or how they shape you. And I love words, for I grew up having trouble arranging them in my speech the way I could on paper. So I gobbled them when I could, whether that was reading or writing elementary books before I understood what world I lived in.

One man dead, pedestrian hit after another crash on University Avenue

An older man died following a crash on West University Avenue Monday afternoon — less than two weeks after a crash on the same road sent five to the hospital and killed a UF student.

GPD and university police are investigating the two-car crash across the street from UF's campus that sent at least six people to a local hospital, including five pedestrians. One of the pedestrians, Sophia Lambert, has died.

Police are searching for suspect involved in sexual battery near campus

GPD is searching for a suspect possibly involved in a Saturday night sexual battery near UF's campus. The suspect is described as a white male with short, dark hair standing between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot-2, according to Sunday's UF public safety email.

Two dead, one in critical condition after three Gainesville hit-and-run crashes, cops say

A 35-year-old woman was hit by an unknown vehicle Thursday afternoon in Gainesville, Gainesville police said. There were two other hit-and-run incidents on Tuesday and Wednesday in Gainesville.

Police arrived at the scene on the 2900 block of Northeast 17th Drive. Kivi J. Ellis, 26, was arrested Friday evening.
