Drinking game: Thanksgiving with family edition

It’s that time of year again: the time to give thanks for our family and friends. Oftentimes, however, Thanksgiving becomes much more than that — with a heaping pile of drama served alongside the turkey. When it starts getting a bit too much to handle, you may have to turn to an alcoholic beverage or two. Here’s a drinking game to make it all a little more fun:

Must-dos for your last Gator gameday

It’s your senior year of college, and you’re a Florida Gator with a terrible case of football FOMO. With the last home game right around the corner, it’s a wonder how students and fans can think of anything except throwing around an air-filled lump of pigskin. We wait all year for our first home game, and poof: Just like that, it’s over.

Drunken munchies: a guide to local late-night eating

Thanks to the 1999 “Rave Law” put into effect by the city of Gainesville, every bar in town must close its doors at 2 a.m. It’s a strange phenomenon, being anywhere in town that late. Closing time rolls around, and streets in Midtown and downtown are awash with drunken students looking for something to treat their munchies. As a Gainesville newcomer, I’ve experienced the quandary of trying to find somewhere to eat this late at night (or early in the morning) several times. After making my rounds around our little city for a few months, I have compiled a brief list of the best restaurants that will serve you quality food later than anywhere else in Gainesville.
