A foundational study on ‘post-concert depression’ examines the unique phenomenon

Before live shows were put on pause, concert-goers frequently used the expression “post-concert depression” (PCD) to describe the melancholy experienced after the thrill of a concert. While it’s no question that the days following a great live show can feel mundane, one researcher started to wonder if the words “post-concert depression” were giving the social-syndrome undue psychological influence. 


Y2K trends have made a comeback, and many are nostalgic to students at UF.  They indulge in these trends, reminisce on their childhood with the Bratz and look forward to the re-releasing of the original dolls in honor of their 20th anniversary.

UF students pull inspiration from 2000s trends and Bratz dolls

Welcome to the early 2000s. A futuristic, metallic vision defines the era: accessories are pink, iPods are likely bedazzled, low-rise jeans and velour tracksuits are in style, and Bratz dolls make their way to the shelves. These trends have made a comeback, and many are nostalgic to students at UF.  They indulge in Y2K trends, reminisce on their childhood with the Bratz and look forward to the re-releasing of the original dolls in honor of their 20th anniversary.

A collaboration with a cause: The Hachetbury partners with Azazus to fundraise for Ronald Mcdonald House Charities

Alachua County’s first ax-throwing venue teamed up with local musician Azazus to create a song titled “Best Damn Moment.” Azazus will perform the single live at The Hatchetbury’s fundraising event on June 16. All proceeds will go toward supporting the families at Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida, a nonprofit charity organization that helps house the families of critically ill children at Shands Hospital.

Foxtail Coffee coming to Butler Plaza

Foxtail Coffee will be joining over 150 other stores and restaurants at Butler Plaza in southwest Gainesville this Fall. From drinks like cold brews and chai tea lattes, or bakery treats such as chocolate croissants and warm banana bread, Foxtail will offer Gainesville residents a wide variety of flavors.
