According to the Miami Herald former UF safety Jamar Hornsby has enrolled at East Mississippi Community College where he will play football this season. He will be eligible to transfer to another FBS school next year. Hornsby was kicked off the team earlier this summer after it was discovered that he made nearly $3,000 worth of charges to the credit card of deceased UF student Ashley Slonina. Hornsby was originally arrested on a felony charge. According to Alachua County court records, the charges were reduced Wednesday to four misdemeanor counts of unauthorized use of a credit card.

Coach Urban Meyer said he doesn't "think it's that serious" and Murphy should be back later this week. However, still not a good sign. For those keeping track at home, that probably leaves Deonte Thompson has the Gators top receiver right now.
Forty-one-year-old Dara Torres was the anchor on the U.S. team that won the 400-freestyle relay Saturday night, leading them to a silver medal. The former Gator might have been able to catch the Netherlands team if there were just 50 to 100 more meters in the race, but the Dutch were too far ahead when she started her leg.
