Junior Tony McQuay has had a nice year in 2012. The sprinter started off winning the U.S. Championships in June, then won his first NCAA indoor title in the 400 meters and last week he won his first NCAA outdoor title in the 400 meters as well as Florida’s first 4x400-meter relay NCAA title.

About two weeks after athletic director Jeremy Foley was shocked by the news of Jan Dowling resigning from her position as Florida women’s head golf coach, he was once again caught by surprise. This time it was by assistant coach Emily Bastel.

As the Gators continued to drop in the leaderboard at the NCAA Championships, junior Tyler McCumber finished strong. McCumber was able to card a solid 72 (+1) on Thursday to wrap up the season with a second place finish.
