Florida keeps momentum rolling in day four of SEC championships

This past season, Sims set the new 100-yard backstroke record as well as securing three individual top-three finishes while Ivey set a new program record in the 200-yard freestyle.
The Florida lacrosse team will play in the Big 12 Conference next season and is moving on from the American Athletic Conference.

Florida had a rocky start to the tournament on Saturday, struggling to get anything going in round one. The Gators recorded 14 bogeys as a team throughout the day and had three double bogeys on the front nine.
The No. 4/3 Florida Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive teams traveled to Auburn, Alabama to compete for a second consecutive SEC Championship. The men’s team entered this week with an undefeated in-and-out of conference record of 7-0 while the women’s team are 7-1, with an undefeated conference record of 5-0.
The Florida Gators men's tennis team (4-4) handed the UCF Knights (7-1) their first loss of the season with a 6-1 victory in an emotional in-state rivalry match, Monday afternoon. After taking the doubles point, the Gators fed off the momentum and energy from the crowd to defeat the Knights for the 19th straight time since January 2001.
Sam Austin and Ryan Maseman led UF track and field mid-distance group under pressure. Both have stepped into leadership roles during their junior seasons.
The Florida women’s golf team came into the 2023-2024 season with a unique split in the class of its players. The roster included a majority of upperclassmen and new players. Coach Emily Glaser, who is in her 12th year as head coach, wanted to find a way to unite her team by using her seniors' experience to its advantage. From this, the big sister program was formed.
A program-record-tying round of 62 (-8) led by freshman Ian Giligan, allowed the University of Florida’s men’s golf team to blow out their competition to win the Gators Invitational at Mark Bostick Golf Course for the fifth straight year.

The Gators lacrosse team (0-1) dominated the Scotland National Team 22-2 in an exhibition match. This was UF’s home opener, as well.
The Gators track and field teams traveled back to Fayetteville, Arkansas, for the Tyson Invitational, their fourth and final regular season meet of the indoor season. Part of the team headed north for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational at Boston University.
