Florida women’s golf places second at Liz Murphey Collegiate

The Gators battled their way ahead, matching Georgia’s five birdies on the front nine with five of their own. The Bulldogs struggled on the back nine, with five bogeys and a quadruple bogey to start. Florida seized the opportunity, tying Georgia at 8-over and overtaking it with three birdies on the final three holes. UF held on to secure the second place finish.

The big sister program: How Florida women’s golf brings its team together

The Florida women’s golf team came into the 2023-2024 season with a unique split in the class of its players. The roster included a majority of upperclassmen and new players. Coach Emily Glaser, who is in her 12th year as head coach, wanted to find a way to unite her team by using her seniors' experience to its advantage. From this, the big sister program was formed.

Gators leave Chapel Hill as 2023 Tar Heel Invitational champions

The team teed off Monday at the Governors Club in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. UF came out victorious in the 14-team tournament. Senior Maisie Filler shot the second lowest score in program history in the opening round. Her impressive 8-under 64 first round lead the way for the Gators. Filler’s outing earned her first place on the player leaderboard through the first 36 holes.
