Patrick Hunt, a 21-year-old organic crop production senior, measures out a plot of land at the Student Agricultural Gardens on Oct. 5, 2015, for a cover crop of fava beans. The garden intern said cover crops help keep the soil from eroding while they are not using the land. Forty-nine shirts lined the walkway at Depot Park on Oct. 4, 2018, during the Domestic Violence Community Vigil and Clothesline Project Exhibit. The Clothesline Project began in 1990 and was created to honor survivors of domestic violence and educate others about the reality of abuse. The shirts were decorated by women and children who survived domestic violence.

With the beginning of the new month came Jay Rouge & the Stoges’ new album. Released on Monday, the album “Friends & Lovers” comes just in time for woodsers and long drives to visit family. Quirky lyrics fill the album, and catching all the witty lines makes the album worth a listen.

Sophomore Victoria Emma (pictured) and her doubles partner, junior Tsveta Dimitrova, lost narrowly (8-7) to the tournament's No. 1 seed of Southern California's Angela Kulikov and Rianna Valdes, eliminating them from the ITA All-American Championships. Emma later took victory in the tournament's singles back draw.

Gators come up short in California
