I notice the Alligator tends to be pretty opinionated, which is good - it's more interesting that way. However, the newspaper is also pretty ignorant, which is something I personally dislike.
I'm writing to express my disgust for bathroom habits at UF. While I'm happy that most of us wash our hands before leaving the bathroom, I am appalled by the amount of paper towels that women find necessary to dry their hands. Friday in the library, I saw a girl use four paper towels, when you only need one. Let's try to conserve not only our resources, but our usage of space in landfills. It's a simple thought to not be wasteful.
Last Thursday's Alligator article on the City Commission's first-in-the-nation vote to implement solar energy incentives shows why it's important for all UF students to vote in the Gainesville city elections on March 24.
Thanks for the "green" sex tips in Friday's issue. Sure, some people like it dirty in the bedroom, but we shouldn't have to sacrifice a clean planet to satisfy our sexual desires.

I would like to respond to Johnathan Lott's column regarding public schools. As a side note in his column Lott wrote, "I'm still not sure how spending over $100 billion in deficit money on education will be a short-term economic stimulus."

As a recovering Christian, I find some of the proclamations of faith in Turlington Plaza extremely hard to swallow. I do not understand how screaming "You're all gonna die" is supposed to bring people to Christ. It is a ludicrous idea.
