As an outgoing senior, I have been involved with Student Government for four years. While I have always appreciated a hard-fought campaign where things could get heated, the Student Senate was the place of open discourse and reason after campaigning ended. When I returned to serve as a summer replacement senator in my final semester, this is what I expected to see.

Student offers tips for UF

I'm a senior who is graduating this August, and I'm not hatin', but I've had four fantastic years of Gainesville college debauchery and can offer a few recommendations to keep the town prospering in all social aspects. I've noted some laws that want to curb the incurable, some changes that try to break the unbreakable and some traditions that need to be awoken from their sober deaths.

UF Student Body President: Why I voted for the tuition hike

As your Student Body President, the most important part of my role consists of representing you on the Board of Trustees - the highest decision-making body of our university. Last week, the issue of a tuition increase was before the Board of Trustees. I voted for the increase because I believed it was best for every student only after making sure the neediest students were financially secured.
