Who bears the costs? How we lost our 24/7 Library

It started out innocently enough. Overnight hours for libraries had been a hot topic for several years in Student Government-land before becoming a reality during the 2012-13 fiscal year. Keep this in mind: SG was the entity that started funding overnight library hours (this will become more important later on).

In the 2017-2018 season, UF had several athletes who shined seemingly out of nowhere. We, at the Alligator, nominated five athletes for Most Improved Player of the Year: Volleyball outside hitter Shainah Joseph, football defensive lineman Taven Bryan, baseball third baseman Jonathan India, golfer Andy Zhang and soccer midfielder Mayra Pelayo. Our staff doesn’t appear to be in agreement, as you can see here:

Never was my president

On Monday, President Donald Trump denied that Russia interfered with the 2016 election. What Trump did Monday flies in the face of U.S. intelligence agencies. Trump went against the CIA, FBI and NSA to side with the authoritarian ruler of a geopolitical foe. This begs the question: Is he really still acting like our president?

Consequences of clutter

Health is more than emotional or physical ailments. It can also be the health of a physical environment, such as your dorm room or apartment. Plus, what’s in this environment can have a real effect on how you feel. Your brain can feel cluttered.
