I just have to comment on the inefficient services in the Reitz Union cafeteria and with students who are sick with the flu that choose to come to school, both of which I had the horror of experiencing today.

While paying for food at the Noodle Bar on Tuesday, a student, who obviously came to campus sick, threw up behind me and vomit got all over my legs. He had also thrown up on the utensil area between Noodle Bar and Home Zone.

I returned to the area five minutes later, after telling a member of the janitorial staff what had happened and scrubbing down my legs, arms and hands numerous times in the bathroom, and absolutely nothing had been cleaned up. In fact, people were stepping in the vomit and taking utensils from the affected area. The workers at the Noodle Bar saw the incident, and the janitorial staff were notified about it, yet absolutely nothing had been done.

With the current swine flu pandemic, I am absolutely appalled that anyone would be selfish enough to come to campus while sick, and that the UF employees in the Reitz Union would be so passive about a potentially dangerous situation. Please keep your eyes out for these situations because obviously the UF staff won't be looking out for even your most basic interests or needs.
