I certainly understand the Alligator's advocating free speech and publishing the guest column "Pastor plans protest at parade."
In case you missed it, Terry Jones is calling for "Christians to dig in their heels, stand together and be prepared to fight for the truth of the entire Bible," and join him in a counter-march after Saturday's Gay Pride Parade. The intention of the counter-march is to present the gay community an "alternative lifestyle."
I just have one question: Isn't "the truth of the entire Bible" Jesus' message of love, peace, tolerance and understanding?
I encourage all members and friends of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community to come and join in the celebration of that lifestyle.
