Gator fans have a new way to show their school spirit.
With a new application, Fanmento!, users can use UF-themed templates to decorate photos they snap on the spot or pull from their photo library.
Users can also post the pictures to Facebook or Twitter and order prints in different sizes.
The free app, which was created through a partnership with the University Athletic Association, launched at UF on Monday, said Fanmento! founder and CEO Jason Muslin.
Users within one mile of the stadium can check in online and access more templates specific to the location.
“Nowhere else can fans put themselves front and center in an image in an application and bring their team’s colors and logo to life,” Muslin said. “Everyone wants to take cool pictures. This is a way to do it by yourself on your own time if you’re a Gator fan live at The Swamp or a Gator fan in New York.”
Kyle Clavier and Ryan Hundersmarck, both 19-year-old UF environmental engineering sophomores, said they think students will use the app.
Hundersmarck said it seemed like a good way for clubs and organizations to take group pictures at the games.
“It’s easy to use, and you don’t have to have any advanced Photoshop knowledge,” Clavier said.
