Police arrested a Gainesville nurse Tuesday after he threatened to kill a woman’s dogs.
At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, Patrick Graham Hennau, 52, held a Taser gun in one hand and a .45-caliber pistol in the other, according to a police report.
Hennau is listed as a registered nurse who practices at the Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs Medical Center, according to the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System.
Standing at the edge of the woman’s driveway, Hennau turned his Taser on and off in front of her dogs, according to the report.
When the woman told Hennau to leave, he cursed at her and said he’d kill her dogs, according to the report. Hennau then walked to the woman’s neighbor with the Taser in his hand and the pistol holstered. The neighbor, who was gardening, told Hennau to leave.
As Hennau reached under his shirt for his pistol, the man ran to his yard to grab a machete, according to the report. The woman called police soon after.
Hennau’s computation date — the date on which someone enters federal service — was Nov. 16, 2008, according to Cindy Snook, a spokeswoman for the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System.
Police arrested Hennau on two charges of aggravated assault and took him to the Alachua County Jail where, as of press time, he remains in lieu of a $100,000 bond.
