The Florida Gators basketball team may be in its offseason, but that doesn’t stop head coach Todd Golden from securing wins. The No. 26 overall 2025 recruit CJ Ingram committed to UF Monday morning according to On3.

In his sophomore year, he averaged 24 points per game, 8.5 assists per game and 3.7 rebounds per game. As a junior, Ingram achieved 1,000 career points midway through the season while maintaining 21.6 points per game, 8.3 rebounds per game and 2.1 assists per game per 247 Sports.

Ingram is a former dual-sport athlete and only recently started playing basketball full time. The son of former Florida Gator and NFL tight end Cornelius Ingram played football before he committed to basketball. At Hawthorne High School, he was the starting quarterback and went 13-0 to win the program its second-straight state title. He completed 64.3% of his passes for over 2,618 yards with 38 touchdowns and only seven interceptions.

The 6-foot-6 inch small forward was sorting offers from Florida, Georgia, Mississippi State, Michigan and Georgetown. However, Florida was the only official visit Ingram went on.

UF will play its first game of the 2024-25 season Nov. 4 in Jacksonville, Florida, against South Florida.
