Junior safety Ahmad Black was held out of practice on August 7 because he came to practice 10 pounds under weight and missed a team meal the day before, according to a source close to the team.
Black also missed practice the first day of fall practice on August 6 due to a back injury.
According to the source, UF coach Urban Meyer was upset with Black and held him out of practice until he showed an effort to put the weight back on.
Black's playing weight is listed at 185 pounds, and Meyer has said the safety position battle is the toughest of any so far during camp.
Black has practiced every day this week, and Meyer said he is back running with the first team.
