Due to campus closure in preparation for Hurricane Ian, the second day of the UF Student Government election has been pushed to Monday, Oct. 3, according to an email from supervisor of elections Ethan Halle. The election was originally scheduled for Sept. 28.

Monday’s elections will run as usual from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Students can still vote Tuesday, Sept. 27, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. at any of the following polling locations:

  1. Bryan Hall
  2. Broward Recreation Room
  3. Health Science Center Library
  4. Levin School of Law BGH Student Commons Dining
  5. Norman Hall Educational Library
  6. Reitz Union Printing Lab
  7. Southwest Recreation Center
  8. Springs Library and Recreation Room

Election results will be released Monday night at or after 9:30 p.m. in the Reitz Union atrium, Halle wrote.

“University of Florida officials are actively monitoring Hurricane Ian and continuing to evaluate the exact timing, magnitude and location of possible impacts from wind and rainfall in Florida," Halle wrote in the email.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
