This past weekend I decided for a bit of variety I'd visit a much-hyped restaurant in Gainesville called The Top. I'd heard good and bad things about the place, but I wanted to decide for myself. It was a very cold Friday night, and I was told the wait would be an hour. OK, I thought, this better be worth it.

Unfortunately, the all too "hip" servers didn't provide the best service. Not only was the food subpar (the meat was dry and the sauces bland), but after we tipped kindly on the check, we were charged triple what our tip was when it was processed. I will never go there again, and I've also had friends suffer a similar fate - terrible service and terrible food.

It's simply ridiculous and repulsive that a place like this remains in Gainesville.
