I am growing ever more disgusted with Hillary Clinton's campaign. Sen. Clinton made a clear promise to respect the Democratic National Convention rules that refused to seat delegates from Florida and Michigan, but now her campaign wants to consider lifting the ban after the fact.
The Clinton campaign says this is to give our state a voice, but why weren't they fighting for our voice when the decision was made? Her continuing trend of opposing unjust decisions after they have already been made is unnerving. Meanwhile, Barack Obama's campaign says that they are waiting to secure the nomination before they sit down with the Republican nominee to discuss campaign-financing limits. This would be monumental in terms of recent presidential campaigns and the bitter partisanship we've grown accustomed to. The Clinton campaign, which hasn't committed to limits themselves, backs up the likely Republican nominee John McCain and calls Sen. Obama a flip-flopper.
I once could understand the benefit of Sen. Clinton's experience and the opportunity to break the glass ceiling in America, but now she is living up to the nasty things anyone has ever said of Clinton politics. How can Democrats continue to support her candidacy?
