The Alachua County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the murder of a man found shot Saturday morning.
Deputies were called about a man found lying on the ground near the 900 block of Southwest 62nd Terrace, according to an Alachua County Sheriff Facebook post.
Deputies said 62-year-old Joseph Green was bleeding from a gunshot wound, the post said. Alachua County Fire Rescue took Green to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The investigation is ongoing and there are no updates as of Saturday afternoon, said Lt. Brett Rhodenizer.
