After two months in jail, a Summerfield man now faces charges after police said he robbed a man at gunpoint at the man’s front door in May and tried stealing his car.
Wayne Frazier, 25, was arrested for an armed home invasion in the Stonecrest housing community, said Marion County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Lauren Lettelier.

Frazier was first arrested June 6 after detectives said he broke into a home in the same neighborhood at 2 a.m. and stole $500 worth of miscellaneous items and a three-wheel motorcycle worth $27,000 from the victim’s garage, according to a MCSO press release.
On May 18, police said Frazier tried to open the front door of a different house with a gun in one hand, a Taser in the other and a bandana covering his face, according to a press release. When the homeowner opened his front door, Frazier robbed him of the money in his wallet and demanded his car keys.
The victim then slammed and locked the front door shut, and Frazier said to him through the door, “Now I’m gonna have to shoot you, now I’m gonna have to kill you,” according to the release. He then fired a bullet through the front door, missing the victim.
During the burglary, the victim’s wife called 911 from inside the home.
Frazier faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, home invasion robbery with a deadly weapon and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
As of press time, he remains in the Marion County Jail in lieu of a $141,000 bond.
