A new iPhone application called UF Wi-Fi will allow students and faculty to easily access UF Internet from their phones by removing the hassle of repeated logins.
Nick Groome, a 20-year-old mechanical engineering sophomore, created the application to make accessing UF wireless Internet faster.
The app allows people to log in with their GatorLink credentials once and avoid re-entering the information every time they go to a new location on campus.
The app is simple. To connect to UF Internet, users choose the option that allows the app to remember a username and password.
Groome developed the app because he was tired of having to constantly log in to the UF network.
The application costs 99 cents and is now available in Apple’s App Store.
The UF Wi-Fi app allows users to instantly access E-Learning, ISIS, Facebook and Google. Groome plans on adding other features as updates, which are free.
UF Wi-Fi is the second app Groome has designed. He created one called “Kinematic equations Solver” in 2011.
