University Police is investigating a death at a Shands at UF parking garage.
At about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, UPD received a call about someone lying on the ground near the hospital’s south parking garage, located at 1310 SW 13th St., according to a UPD news release.
After emergency medical officials arrived at the scene, they determined the person had died from a fall from an upper level of the garage.
Police have not yet released the name of the victim.
“Though foul play is not suspected at this time, this is an ongoing death investigation,” said UPD spokesman Brad Barber in the release.
