Though the season was cut short, three Gators walked away with Inside Lacrosse Maverik Women's DI Media All-American honors Tuesday.

Junior midfielder Shannon Kavanagh and senior defender Cara Trombetta were named to the first team. Redshirt junior midfielder Brianna Harris was named to the third team.

This is Kavanagh’s second All-American honor, after making the third team last season. She tallied 39 points on 34 goals and 5 assists and 56 draw controls this year. She ranked third nationally in goals scored and her seven DCs per game tied her for 12th nationally.

Trombetta’s first-team honors are the second of her career after earning the same distinction in 2018. She finished this year with 15 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

After finishing with 42 points, 27 of which were goals and 15 were assists, Harris’ third-team nod is the first IL Women All-American honor of her career. She averaged 5.25 points per game, which placed her tied for 15th nationally.

In the shortened season, the Gators went 6-2, which included four wins against top-25 teams.
