The No. 2 men’s and No. 3 women’s Florida swim and dive team’s meet against Alabama, previously scheduled for Friday at 11 a.m., has been canceled due to the potential impacts of Hurricane Milton.

The decision came after UF announced it would be closed on Wednesday and Thursday due to the storm. UF previously had its opening meet canceled due to Hurricane Helene on Sept. 27.

Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on Wednesday evening.

Virginia’s men’s team is ranked No. 15, and the women’s team has won the last three national championships. UVA’s men’s team is ranked No. 15, and the women’s team has won the last three national championships.

The Gators will eagerly open their season against the Cavaliers at the Aquatic and Fitness Center in Charlottesville on Oct. 18 at 11 a.m.
