A UF student died at Social28 apartments Tuesday afternoon.

Gainesville Police are investigating the death of 20-year-old Nicholas Spencer Masi, according to a press release. There were no signs of foul play. Masi was a UF history junior, UF spokesperson Steve Orlando wrote in an email.

Gainesville Fire Rescue responded to the apartment complex, at 311 SW 13th St., to give Masi medical treatment, but he was pronounced dead before police arrived at about 4:30 p.m., the release said.

The Medical Examiner will determine Masi’s cause of death, the release said. Police notified Masi’s family of the incident.

In January 2016, Chance W. Wolf, a 20-year-old UF telecommunication senior, died after he fell from the sixth story of Social 28.
