No. 13 Florida lacrosse (7-2) took down the Mercer Bears (3-4) 20-7.
The Gators are 5-0 against the Bears and are now on a seven-game winning streak.
Florida started strong, putting up 10 first-quarter goals and going into halftime 16-3.
UF senior attacker Liz Harrison marked her 300th career draw control in the first quarter. She had 15 draw controls in the two quarters she played.
Eleven different Gators scored during the victory.
Florida senior attacker Danielle Pavinelli recorded a first-quarter hat trick. She scored four goals in the first quarter.
Junior midfielder Josie Hahn also had her first hat trick of the season for the Gators after scoring twice in the first quarter and once in the second quarter.
UF senior attacker Maggi Hall, graduate student midfielder Emily Heller and sophomore attacker Gianna Monaco put up two goals each during the first half.
Gators freshman attacker Lea Flobleck earned her second career goal, her first being in their game against Jacksonville.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Elyse Finnelle had a season-high save percentage of .714 in the 30 minutes she was in the net. She faced 14 shots on goal.
Florida outshot the Bears 32-22 and took control of two-thirds of the draws. Mercer fouled 20 times, compared to five from the Gators.
Next, the Gators will host Furman University Tuesday at noon. This will be the third game of their five-game homestand. The matchup can be streamed on ESPN +.
