Florida hosts nine official visits in attempt to bolster 2014 class

This weekend was a busy one in Gainesville on the recruiting trail.

Over the weekend, UF hosted nine 2014 recruits on their official visits. Some of those on campus were cornerback J.C. Jackson, wide receiver Moral Stephens and defensive tackle Khairi Clark. Both Clark and Stephens seem to be 100% committed to UF, while Jackson is scheduled to take an official visit to Florida State next weekend.

2014 dual threat quarterback Treon Harris was also in Gainesville for the weekend. Harris is verbally committed to FSU, and is the number three quarterback in the 2014 class. Harris took his official visit to FSU in November, and verbally committed in July. Harris is a Booker T. Washington High School product.

All-purpose back Derrell Scott from Havelock, N.C., took his official visit as well. He also has offers from FSU, Ohio State and Tennessee among others. He is scheduled to make his decision on Jan. 27.

Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie was offered by Florida following the 2014 Under Armour Game. He went to American Heritage High School in South Florida, but has been recruited hard by Brian Kelly and Notre Dame, where he will take his last official visit at the end of the month. He is scheduled to make an official visit to Mississippi next weekend as well. McKenzie could make up for the loss of wideout Ermon Lane in the 2014 class.

Athlete Deiondre Porter received an offer from Florida earlier last week, and announced his decommitment from USF on Thursday. Following his official visit over the weekend, Porter posted via Twitter on Sunday that he would be announcing his decision on Monday at 6 p.m. on Bright House Networks.

Offensive tackle Yodny Cajuste took his first official visit to UF over the weekend. He is scheduled to take his second to West Virginia next weekend. Three star defensive end Rocel McWilliams also visited. McWilliams has been verbally committed to Missouri since April.
