I am neither an Auburn fan nor an Auburn enemy, but the hypocrisy of The Gator Nation regarding Cameron Newton is astounding. It takes The Gator Nation but a few days to try and crucify him before any facts come out.
If Newton was still at UF and leading the Heisman race, Gator fans would be bending over backwards defending him.
Sometimes I wonder if The Gator Nation has lost its mind when situations like these arise. If someone at UF leaked Newton’s academic record, which is in violation of law, it does not speak well of the way our school is supposed to conduct itself.
The only thing that should be investigated is the source of the leak because it sets an incredibly bad precedent for confidentiality at UF and should make every student incredibly nervous. Like every other scandal with this institution, I’m certain this one will be brushed under the rug until it’s forgotten.
