Redshirt junior Jasmine Moore brought home gold in the women’s long jump once again despite tough competition at the Tom Jones Memorial meet. Her gold was one of only two titles won by the Gators this weekend.
The other first place spot was earned by redshirt sophomore Liina Winborn for her event debut in the women’s 3000-meter.
Florida claimed 13 podium spots this weekend with many athletes continuing to improve their personal records.
Redshirt sophomore Malcolm Clemons took bronze in the men’s long jump Friday. Junior Claire Bryant also took bronze in the women’s event.
Redshirt senior Corvell Todd received second place in the men’s high jump with a height of 2.14 meters.
Freshman Alida van Daalen produced a new outdoor personal best in the women’s shot put, good for silver.
Junior Robert Gregory gave Florida its third silver of the day in the men's 200-meter.
Freshman Akari Isaac took third in the women’s discus Saturday, which gave him a new personal best of 51.12 meters.
Van Daalen claimed her second silver in the discus invite with a throw of 56.82 meters.
Moore took second in the women’s triple jump; her 13.91-meter jump was the second farthest jump in the country this year.
Redshirt senior Imogen Barrett produced a new personal best in the women’s 800-meter and the second fastest time in school history with a time of 2:00.96 minutes — she received second place.
The men’s 4x100 relay team earned second place, and the women's 4x400 team received third.
The Gators will next compete in Charlottesville, Virginia, from April 21 to April 23.
