As Florida’s Spring camp ends, the Gators are addressing injuries before the season starts in Fall.
Gators coach Jim McElwain released the team’s injury report on Wednesday, listing 22 players who sustained Spring injuries.
Two Gators underwent surgeries on Wednesday. Redshirt freshman quarterback Kyle Trask had a minor knee surgery, and the team expects him to recover in about four weeks.
Tight end-turned-linebacker Camrin Knight had an operation on his right knee and will have another surgery on his left knee in May.
In addition, three Gators who were injured in Spring are not expected to be cleared by the time Fall practice starts.
Defensive end Jordan Sherit, wide receiver Rick Wells and tight end Harry Gornto will be re-evaluated as Fall nears. Their injury status may change before UF’s first practice.
Four Gators suffered injuries in Friday’s Spring scrimmage. Defensive backs Duke Dawson and Joseph Putu along with receiver Tyrie Cleveland and tight end Moral Stephens are rehabbing and recovering.
