After the changing of the guard in the Student Senate, we now have another Gator Party insider attempting to implement the party's failed agenda.
Kevin Reilly produced anemic results as the Senate's president pro-tempore. If you can name one significant "tangible accomplishment" the Senate implemented since the spring election, then I applaud you. Reilly trumpets his experience in the Senate running two committees as proof of his qualification. If anything, this "experience" is indicative of Reilly's do-nothing philosophy.
The Gator Party prides itself on "tangible results." Where are these tangible changes in the lives of UF students? What exactly has the Senate done to improve UF since Gator's near-sweep of the spring election?
The answer is nothing, and as Kevin Reilly has been an architect of this agenda of the status quo in the past, he is not fit to lead the Senate as its president. UF deserves change in Student Government, but Kevin Reilly will not provide it.
