We cannot wait for the days when we're successful UF alumni capable of showering our beloved alma mater with donated cash - a "Thank you" for good times, bad times and in-between times we thought we would forget.

How awesome would it be to have a UF building bearing your name?

Each fall, thousands of rosy-cheeked barely legals would bust out their trusty campus maps to figure out how to get to a big slab of brick with your portrait hanging somewhere inside.

How's that for an ego boost?

That deal seems pretty swell, but we would gladly deny such a pompous course of action in favor of something more practical.

Rather than attaching our names to a hall that will further constrict UF's parking calamity - like the addition of the new business graduate school Hough Hall - we would prefer to slap our surnames on a humongous new parking garage.

We know it sounds lame because, well, parking garages are pretty boring.

Honestly, though, if a 1,000-spot garage touched down mid-campus with our names attached, everyone living more than two miles from campus would be lining up to shine our do-gooder boots.

We've been at UF long enough to know all about the road rage that goes with running late while hunting for parking, and it's pretty damn frustrating.

Obviously, our big money-making days are pretty far down the road, so we'll just have to sit tight and enjoy the new 950-spot garage way out on Gale Lemerand and Mowry.

The only problem now is that once we find a spot, we need to find a way to get back to the part of campus where classes are actually held.
