Police arrested Simone Westbrook, a guard on Florida’s women’s basketball team, early Saturday morning.
Just before 5:40 a.m. Saturday, Alachua County Sheriff’s Office deputies booked Westbrook into the Alachua County Jail on a charge of resisting an officer without violence, said Marcus Middlebrooks, a criminal justice technician with the Sheriff’s Office.
Westbrook was released on her own recognizance at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Middlebrooks said.
