The Florida women’s golf team shot 5-under-par collectively in the second round of the Moon Golf Invitational Monday, putting the team in a tie for sixth at 2-under-par with one round left to go.

Individually, the Gators were led by Annabell Fuller. The sophomore shot 5-under-par to climb up to a tie for fifth overall. After a mediocre showing Sunday, Fuller was firing out of the gates, knocking in three birdies and an eagle on the front nine.

She would add two more birdies on the back along with two bogeys to finish the round at 67. Monday’s round was the lowest in her collegiate career, besting her previous low by two strokes. Through two rounds of play, Fuller is third in the field with nine birdies, and she also averaged a second-best 2.75 on par 3s.

Fuller is currently one shot out of second place but is eight shots back from the leader Pauline Roussin-Bouchard. The South Carolina sophomore ran away from the competition, shooting 14-under-par through two rounds of play.

Senior Addie Baggarly improved on her score from Sunday, shooting an even par in the second round to put her overall score at 2-over-par. She is in a tie for 39th individually.

Following close behind Baggarly are Jenny Kim and Elin Esborn. After a 1-over-par performance in the first round, Kim stayed consistent, posting a 2-over-par round Monday. She is currently 3-over-par. Esborn struggled in her second round of the season, shooting a 3-over-par 75. However, she currently has the second-most pars in the field with 28. Both her and Kim are in a tie for 47th.

Finally, Marina Escobar rounded out the Florida lineup, sitting at 4-over-par and in a tie for 55th. Escobar had the second best day for the Gators, shooting 2-under-par. She was able to bounce back from a poor first round in which she shot a 6-over-par 78.

The Gators will look to make up ground in the final round Tuesday. As a team, they are 19 strokes behind the leading Gamecocks, but they are only one shot behind fifth place FSU. Florida is expected to tee off at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday morning with Fuller leading off the Gators off the tee. Live scoring updates can be found at Golfstat.com.
