Freshman linebacker Antonio Morrison(12) chases down Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel (2) at Kyle Field during Florida's 20-17 victory against Texas A&M on Sept. 8.

Suspended sophomore linebacker Antonio Morrison could return to practice with the Gators tonight.

Junior linebacker Michael Taylor said Morrison was present for team meetings earlier in the day, which seemingly indicates Morrison has been reinstated with the program.

“It was good to have him back, good to talk to him,” Taylor said. “He is a good, close friend of mine. It was good to have him back.”

Morrison, who is 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds, finished 2012 with 34 total tackles and a forced fumble.

He entered the offseason as the team’s starting middle linebacker. But on June 16, Morrison was arrested for punching a bouncer. He was arrested on July 21 for barking at a police dog and interfering with police.

Coach Will Muschamp suspended Morrison for the opening two games and restricted his access to the rest of the team.

“It’s killing him not being in camp right now because he enjoys being a part of the football team,” Muschamp said last week.

UF did not release information on Morrison’s return.
