No suspects or victims were found at the scene of a shooting Monday at Phoenix Villas Apartments.

Multiple shots were fired at the apartment complex, said Sgt. Tristan Grunder of the Gainesville Police Department. The incident happened between 8:30 p.m. and 8:40 p.m.

Grunder said six shell casings were found by police on the main road near the southwest corner of the complex, located at 2550 SW 31 Place.

Approximately 10 officers responded to multiple reports of shots fired, Grunder said. No apartment unit was involved.

As of Monday night, Grunder could not say what type of gun was used.

GPD is investigating the incident as a discharge of a firearm in public, Grunder said.
