GAME OVER

This one was never really in doubt. The Gators added a meaningless field goal midway through the fourth quarter and Tennessee couldn't put anything else on the board. Turnovers killed Tennessee today, and the Vols failed to convert inside the five yard line twice. It really was sad to see. This once-great rivalry has been reduced to laughers in the last two years. UF has won by a combined 89-26 in those last two.

FOURTH QUARTER 14:18 REMAINING

There's some respectability. Nothing fancy, but Tennessee did drive it down and got it in the endzone. They missed the two point conversion, though so they still trail by three touchdowns. At least it's not a shutout.

THIRD QUARTER 4:29 REMAINING

Another stupid decision to punt it to Brandon James, a few Emmanuel Moody runs and a 15-yard pass from Tebow to Harvin has the Gators now up 27-0. UF's offense is still looking conservative, but Tennessee has been so non-functional, it doesn't matter. The Vols need a miracle.

HALFTIME UPDATE

The boos are raining down. Jonathan Crompton just threw a pick in the endzone to Janoris Jenkins. That's twice Tennessee has been inside the 5, and twice they've come away with no points. Peyton Manning is sitting somewhere with his hands burrowed in his hands.

SECOND QUARTER-4:38 REMAINING

UF's just doing some short Tebow runs, and the Gators drove it down for 75 yards to get the 40 yarder from Phillips. It was the first time UF's offense had been on the field in more than 8 minutes of game time. The Gators haven't been explosive at all, but they haven't needed to be yet.

UF 20-0.

SECOND QUARTER-11:36 REMAINING

Seriously. This poor, poor soldout crowd. They are just getting whooped on. The Vols were about to score, and then quarterback Jonathan Crompton fumbled on the 2-yard line. UF recovered. Seriously. This is flat-out insane.

FIRST QUARTER - 4:42 REMAINING

Okay, this is just sad, Tennessee. The Gators put out Percy Harvin and Brandon James on the punt return, and they kicked it to James. That wasn't smart. James made them look silly and returned it 78 yards for the score. UF 17- Tennessee 0. Sweet mercy. Where are you, Vols?

FIRST QUARTER - 7:00 REMAINING

The Volunteers got a nice pass play their first play of the game, and then it was all downhill from there. Arian Foster got a penalty, and then the Gators recovered a fumble at the UT 19. The Gators couldn't do anything on offense, but Jonathan Phillips nailed a 39-yard field goal. Apparently it did help kicking that field goal agianst Miami two weeks ago.

FIRST QUARTER 10:00 REMAINING

After Brandon James fumbled the opening kickoff, he recoverd and took it all the way to the UT 44. Then a couple of Emmanuel Moody runs (yes, he got carries) and a big option play to Aaron Hernandez, and the Gators got in the red zone. Then Tebow brought back the jump pass again and hit Hernandez for the score. It's Hernandez's second touchdown this year.

PRE-GAME

Here are some lineup changes for you fans at home: Justin Trattou has replaced Carlos Dunlap in the starting lineup for the second straight game Meyer said earlier this week Dunlap has underachieved this year. Jim Tartt is also finally starting at left guar.

We're here in Knoxville and a quick pregame note for you is that Ahmad Black is on the field and in uniform. Rumors-and maybe that's all they were-were flying around that UF's sophomore strong safety was out with an ankle injury. Whether Black's able to go the entire game-that's unknown, but he is on the field in pads.
