What a busy week!
We had a Norwegian terrorist go bonkers and Amy Winehouse kicking the can - almost makes you forget the terrible condition of America's economy and the ticking time bomb that is the deadline of a "debt limit" decision. Nothing like a celebrity death and an international terrorist attack to distract you for a bit.
Amy Winehouse made it to the ripe old age of 27. I'm surprised she made it that long.The night before her death, Winehouse allegedly bought ecstasy, cocaine and ketamine. Call me ignorant, but I actually had to look up what ketamine was. Then I didn't feel bad when I realized it was an animal tranquillizer (sorry, if you're taking animal tranquillizers, you are looking for a quick death).
"It was only a matter of time," her mother said.
Good for her for having so much faith in her daughter.
Having listened to her music and approving of this five-time Grammy winner, I was surprised to see that through following all her drug issues, I had never actually seen a picture of her before. Or perhaps, I had never truly analyzed one before.
Amy Winehouse, rest her soul, was a remarkably unattractive person.
At around the same time, Anders Behring Breivik, devastated by Winehouse's death, decided to enforce a crusade to end Islam in the most irrational way possible.
The way some people's minds work...because the perfect way of going about a crusade to end Islam is by murdering teenagers at a summer camp.
Yeah, he's really Norway's own Jason Bourne.
Although I suppose most men wouldn't have trouble shooting unarmed children with an automatic weapon.
Apparently, the original culprit of the attack, according to conservative radio stations across the nation, was an obvious Islamic terrorist attack,only to be clearly misguided when Breivik was identified as the terrorist. Conservatives, please insert foot into mouth.
This, of course, provided the liberal media with immediate raging erections. Female reporters spontaneously generated penises solely for the purpose of acquiring a hard-on.
I thought to myself at first, "gawddamn Islamabad Durkha Muhammad Al Qaeda," like the ignorant fool I am, only to discover the culprit was actually a white, blond-haired conservative. And through that alone, I finally realized the danger of arrogance and stereotyping.
I was actually shocked that the terrorist was a white Norwegian conservative. But in reality, should I have been? People fall into certain sects, become extremists and violence results.
Whatever the cause, every generation has its "violent regime," and that will never change.
It just seems that "Islamic terrorists" have become our scapegoats.Maybe we should spread our caution to the general public rather than a specific race.
Our racism could very easily catch us off guard.
Sadly though, the media's goal is not to mourn the deaths of the victims nor provide a solution to prevent such an event from occurring in the future.
Both sides of the media play the blame game. Humans apparently can only mourn appropriately through hate.
All I know is that at a time when our country's economy is simply embarrassing, it seems ignorant to be racist. Prepare for America to be China's bitch for the next several decades.
I am no expert on economics. I have only a basic knowledge. But I do know that it is in our best interests to not piss off China. I've played Dynasty Warriors, and I know that Chinese warlords are incredibly vengeful.
Be careful or expect a giant scythe through the heart.
