Florida announced Saturday’s football game against the Eastern Washington Eagles is postponed to Sunday at noon due to Hurricane Ian.
The move comes after UF canceled classes Wednesday through Friday this week due to the storm.
All tickets for the game will still be honored on the new date.
More details will be released by the University Athletic Association throughout the week. The UAA did confirm that the typical game day road closure of West University Avenue will not be in place Sunday. This will result in a modified version of Gator Walk.
The game will still stream via SEC Network+ as originally planned.
This is the first time the Gators have been forced to alter the football schedule due to a hurricane since Hurricane Irma canceled a game against Northern Colorado in 2017.
