Warning: Adapted from a recipe called “I want to marry you,” these babies could put a ring on your finger, or if you have control issues, 5 pounds on your thighs.

  • 1 cup of butter
  • 1 ¼ cups of dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 ¼ cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup of milk chocolate chips

Preparation:

  1. In a saucepan, heat the butter until melted.
  2. Add the sugars until they are incorporated and smooth. Chill the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Once cool, stir in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla.
  4. Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and mix together.
  5. Stir in the white chocolate chips and chocolate chips.
  6. Roll by hand into 1-inch balls (usually makes 24) or use a scoop, and place on a light-colored cookie sheet.
  7. Chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
  8. Remove the cookies from the refrigerator and bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are browned.
