Warning: Adapted from a recipe called “I want to marry you,” these babies could put a ring on your finger, or if you have control issues, 5 pounds on your thighs.
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 ¼ cups of dark brown sugar
- ½ cup of granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 3 ¼ cups of all purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 ¼ cup of white chocolate chips
- 1 cup of milk chocolate chips
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, heat the butter until melted.
- Add the sugars until they are incorporated and smooth. Chill the mixture for at least 10 minutes.
- Once cool, stir in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla.
- Add the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon and mix together.
- Stir in the white chocolate chips and chocolate chips.
- Roll by hand into 1-inch balls (usually makes 24) or use a scoop, and place on a light-colored cookie sheet.
- Chill for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
- Remove the cookies from the refrigerator and bake for 12-14 minutes until edges are browned.
