Fransisco Sotomayor: Students like me care about The New York Times.

I, like many, joined the Facebook group and followed the story in the Alligator. Now in my fourth year on campus, not only am I always on the lookout for the paper, I also know a secret location where I can pick one up after 3 p.m.

Yes, I can read nearly any newspaper online, but I prefer not to.

I can't speak for engineers, but business students love the Times.

I've sat next to several people in the Warrington College of Business Administraton who read the Times, The USA Today, the Campus Sun and the Alligator before and after class. Your engineering classes are apparently not a representative sample of students.

Yes, I do realize how much $60,000 is and how it compares to funding for many student clubs, including engineering-related organizations.

If the engineering clubs had a way to reach 300 people every weekday for an entire academic year, Student Government would probably be happy to give you $60,000.
