Gov. Ron DeSantis issued a 30-day stay-at-home order today during his press conference. The order goes into effect Thursday at midnight.
Residents will still be able to leave their houses for essential businesses such as grocery stores and health care providers. The governor's office will release more details regarding the order later today, according to The Washington Post.
This comes after the daily report from the Florida Department of Health showing that the state had almost reached 7,000 cases.
The county also implemented a stay-at-home order last week, forcing non-essential businesses to close. At first, it was unclear how the order would be applied.
